Another start and WIP update

Hello dear blogger friends.
Just to let you know, my bestfriend received the frame and was surprised at the workmanship and really touched (of course she's my friend! lol). Whew, if she only knew... so glad it arrived before her birthday:)
I have decided to take on another magazine chart:
It's called A Time to Rend, A Time to Stitch from Cross Country Stitching. I'm stitching on 14ct. Lite Oatmeal aida. I've been wanting to do this last year, so I made sure it's one of my goals for this year. It requires buttons but they were quite expensive. However, I was able to find alternative buttons and they're also pretty for the price. I'm already excited to try them.
And here's my WIP for today:
I know you can't see much difference from last time... because DMC 3371 has been my loyal companion on this one. Anyway, I'm done with that number for now.. On to another brown shade, lol.
Thanks for visiting. Happy Stitching!

  2. Both are progressing nicely. I always find alternate raw materials if they are not available here or are not in my budget.

  5. Interesting new start. You can see the motifs forming on the yesteryear design too. I like the penny farthing bicycle.

  7. I'm glad she received it and loves it. I just bought a package of buttons and I totally understand your price pain. They are cute but definitely seem high priced to me. I know they take a lot of work to make though. Glad you found something a little cheaper. Great new start! Great progress on your WIP.

  8. Wow! After three days of trying I can finally comment again on your blog.
Nice new start that you made, and great progress on your WIP. Stitch fast so that you will be able to get away from all the browns, lol.
