Farmer's Almanac finish

Hello dear friends. It's the 29th!
I made it, woohoo!
I did not put the border which is a plain straight line enclosing the design. Here it is:

 Farmer's Almanac
by Prairie Schooler
14ct. natural aida

The animals are adorable to stitch, but my favorite is that cute pig:)
I changed the color of the window panes to Ecru (like what I did with Pumpkin Hollow Farms). I thought it looked nicer than light gold (422).
So that's it, mission accomplished.

Happy dance again

Hello dear blogging friends.
I know the title is misleading. You'd think I finished another WIP in the same week, Farmer's Almanac perhaps? No way, lol.
This is what I wanted to show you:
My BFF sent me this picture. Yes, the birthday gift is now on her wall! This just made my day:)
Now here's what's been going on with Farmer's Almanac:

I just made an animal jigsaw puzzle. I'll be exclusively stitching on it tomorrow. Definitely want to show something before the 29th.
Another reason for happy dance: my Prairie Schooler charts started coming in from various vendors. Woohoo!

First finish for the month and my other priority

Hello again blog friends.
Ahh, finally a finish for the month!

 Pumpkin Hollow Farms
by Little House Needleworks
14ct. antique white aida
I stitched the window panes in Ecru instead of 738 (as written on the chart) because the picture with the pattern showed a much lighter hue which also appealed more to me (plus I have Ecru that's really getting old in my floss bin), I might straighten that backstitch if I'm in the mood, lol.
Lastly, I stitched the words Pumpkin Hollow. It looks more vivid in person, the camera just can't capture how these colors pop.
Now that's done, I went ahead with my other priority WIP. This one I really want to finish right away because it's just so appropriate for this month:
Now you see what I mean? lol. Words, words, words- that's what I've been doing right before writing this blog.
The green grass I stitched from weekend to yesterday. I think now it's obvious what will go in there. You can pretty much guess what animals they are too (no, there won't be any elephants).

WIP#2

Hello blogger friends.
Yesterday was spent on WIP#2 and Yesteryear:

Lighter blue and some green stitching, yay!

Priority WIP#2- Pumpkin Hollow Farms: I wasn't happy with the window pane color (see from my last post here ), and it was the right DMC, I checked the picture and saw how lighter it was, so frogging had to be done. I'm still thinking of what shade to put. With that, I decided to go ahead with the border:
There's border at the bottom too which I'm currently doing (3371 if you wan't to know). Won't be long now, I can safely say this will be my first finish for the month (smug!)
On other news, feeling antsy about my (doomed?) Prairie Schooler buying frenzy, I looked into Amazon to check some PS charts, my oh my, highway robbery (on charts that I like, lol). Nope, not gonna bite! I did, however, from another site, bought some pairs of scissors to appease my guilt for the lost old loyal scissors.

Brown and Blue

Hello blogger friends.
Just a quick update on two WIPs.

Added blue and more brown on Yesteryear. I love how this is turning out with a different floss color in.

Another brown shade on Farmer's Almanac:
Added the hay by the red house and of course, more brown built the house on the left. I'm now onto the greens on the left side. Hopefully I'll be halfway done on this side today. I'm planning on doing priority WIP#2 tomorrow.

3 WIPs update

Hello friends.
Yes, three progress pictures that I'm sharing today, woohoo!
I completed the first line, but there wasn't enough time for "stitch," isn't that ironic?

On Yesteryear: finished the boxes where the item names will be, in 433, another brown shade, so I chose to stitch red next.

On the other hand, this one got a lot of brown stitchin' love. All done with the roof and fence. Be forewarned though, more 3371 ahead at the bottom portion:) I also started another brown shade, see that "tember," I used leftover thread starting from the grid.
I still haven't received from the other vendor my Prairie Schooler purchase and I'm getting quite impatient. At least they have not charged my account yet (I think).

Back to WIP#1

Hello dear friends. I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
Without further ado, here's my progress on priority WIP#1, Farmer's Almanac by Prairie Schooler:

I finished the sun and started the roof on both houses, all in 3371, until I just had to pick another hue, so there's some green grass at the bottom.
And a bonus, some red stitching on magazine chart. I did not complete the hearts for Valentine's but focused on the letters instead:
You'll be seeing more of Farmer's Almanac this week as I'm bent on finishing it before month's end. Will be stitching on it like 2-3 hours (or more) at night, yep I don't sleep that early:)

Pumpkin Hollow Farms

Hello blogger friends.
This is my priority WIP#2:

I really enjoy stitching this, you see that dark brown 3371, I had fun doing that too, and all those browns on the house. I have yet to decide if I will put the border (top and bottom) when I finish the house.

Farmer's Almanac

Hello friends.
I have finally decided to have two priority WIPs this month. I'm quite new to rotation (and I don't even have more than ten, haha). I've been taking two WIPs with me when I go to my sister's on some weekends. And that's how it all started, some floss numbers I can't find, left behind or missed in what tin box it's in. What's worse, I lost my oldest scissors (they're cheap compared to the gingher I got for last year's birthday) but still, it holds a sentimental value, we've been together through so many WIPs:(
Here's my progress on priority WIP#1:
I finished off the red, blue and now I'm doing green. You see that moon? Same shade as in Yesteryear, yep 3371! and that will also go on the roof and sun.
Wait til you see my priority WIP#2... also has lots of... 3371! lol.

Another start and WIP update

Hello dear blogger friends.
Just to let you know, my bestfriend received the frame and was surprised at the workmanship and really touched (of course she's my friend! lol). Whew, if she only knew... so glad it arrived before her birthday:)
I have decided to take on another magazine chart:
It's called A Time to Rend, A Time to Stitch from Cross Country Stitching. I'm stitching on 14ct. Lite Oatmeal aida. I've been wanting to do this last year, so I made sure it's one of my goals for this year. It requires buttons but they were quite expensive. However, I was able to find alternative buttons and they're also pretty for the price. I'm already excited to try them.
And here's my WIP for today:
I know you can't see much difference from last time... because DMC 3371 has been my loyal companion on this one. Anyway, I'm done with that number for now.. On to another brown shade, lol.

A Start and 2 WIPs

Hello blogger friends. I hope you had a nice weekend.
February already. This month I'm hoping to get more than one finish (like what happened last month, but everything worth it, thanks for the kind words on friend's gift:)

Here's this month's start that I told you about last time:
Since 2016 is a leap year, I decided to get A Farmer's Almanac (14ct. natural aida) in my Prairie Schooler purchase. I cannot say it's a haul as I've yet to receive the others. One vendor already cancelled two items (out of stock, but still on their website). I still have to hear from two other vendors. This Prairie Schooler apocalypse brought temporary insanity when I saw the items on my wishlist were no longer available. I'll post the haul when all have been delivered.

Meanwhile, some progress on WIPs:
As usual, more browns on Yesteryear...
and more trees on Begin Row.
