What have I done?

Hello blog friends. First off, many thanks for the advice and encouragement on my recent stitching snag. I'm not giving up on it now for sure😊
Aah, summer, school's out... Time for restless little hands to keep reaching for something to do. Latest target: my Make Do and Mend piece:(
Just how could you say no to "Let me, let me, pleeeeaaasse..." Kids know exactly when your mind screams "stop it, my heart can't take anymore!" (In my case, I think it took 15 seconds, haha)
And what do I get? There's already a missed square, a tiny knot in front, and a not-so-neat back, lol. Little niece enjoyed stitching that yellow border anyway. I'm thinking I'll let it be, so this piece has a nice story, something I'll make her guilty of when she grows older (what a vengeful aunt she's got.)
I hope she goes back to her coloring books:
Maybe she got tired of coloring birds, time to buy a new one (it was only a dollar, LOL).

Thanks for visiting. Happy Stitching!

  1. haha! Good for you. I don't know, it would be a BIG struggle for me. Like OCD or something. I would feel I would have to fix it maybe. Your way of leaving it, is better I am sure of it.

  2. Oh bless her, she wants to be like Auntie! I think it's a lovely idea to keep the design like this and show her when she's older. It will make a great story for her blog!
Lovely colouring pages too, very neat.

  3. Oh you are a brave woman to let kids near your stitching!
I have posted my new stash; let me know if you have any of them and we can try to stitch them together, again:) It can't be worse than the last time, lol. With Christmas coming nearer I have a feeling my mojo will come back, and I already know that you will finish any project before me:) But it is great fun with a leisurely stitch-along!

  7. Good luck keeping her busy! Luckily for me my grandson is obsessed with video games this summer so I don't have to entertain him ;)

  8. Lol it's all about learning ;). A missed stitch is easy to grab and the knit can be unknotted and pulled through. She colors well :)

  10. You are such a good auntie. When my nieces were little, I gave them a piece of fabric and some floss with a little pattern. She does nice coloring. :)
