Hello friendly bloggers.
Still able to stitch the past few nights... with my recent floss acquisition, but I don't think I ordered enough (only 2).
Here's "We Thank Thee" progress so far (with less than a skein in):
I managed to complete the "Fors" on this side. Apologies for the dark pictures.
Along with the floss came 2 charts and fabric:
Two charts from my wishlist- Away We Ride by Blackbird Designs and Prairie Schooler's "And to All a Good Night" which I'm hoping to stitch along with Annie of My Little X-Stitch Nook.
On other news, I had a scare yesterday when my laptop suddenly made a weird sound and froze whatever I was watching on flosstube. I was frozen too for about a minute. Nothing was happening to both of us in our face off. So I turned it off. Then started it and that HP logo on the black background with the twirling circles kept at it for five minutes. So I turned it off again (I'm panicking at this point, please, please, please) and took off the battery for five minutes. Whew, it worked. This is the first time it did that, I hope it doesn't happen again. So what have I watched on youtube? Some tutorials on dyeing fabric. Yep, I might try it for the new Halloween chart. DH shall have another puzzling moment this weekend:)
Thanks for visiting. Happy Stitching!

Ohhh, how exciting!!! I actually sat here wondering to myself if I had that PS chart, but when you mentioned me I figured I must have:)))
ReplyDeleteIs it OK with you if we wait with our SAL until the Olympics are over??!! There is no way I can focus on cross stitching AND all the exciting sports, and I would like to have at least a small chance of keeping up with you:))) Do you want to start with the smaller piece or should we go for the big one straight away? I'm soo happy; I really enjoyed our little SAL (even though I have yet to finish my Santas....hm...).
Beautiful progress! Great new haul.
ReplyDeleteIt is looking beautiful:) looking forward to see your stitching on new charts and hope your laptop won't scare you again.
ReplyDeleteLove your four fors! And those gorgeous scissors too.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how those charts and that fabric fell into the envelope with the thread. Very strange. Your computer was obviously playing up even before the freezing incident!
Lonely progress you should dye it it's fun! I dye my fabric so if you have any questions feel free to ask!
