Hello dear friends.
This weekend I stitched on Happy Day. Yesterday I was at my sis'. There's a funny thing my little niece said about this WIP. When I was stitching the boy's hat, she confidently said "I know what you're making, a jellyfish!" and she went on and on questioning about how big is this cartoony aquarium, is that going to be crab (the red blob), bla bla. So the bad aunt in me kept her thinking yes, see there's the roof of a mini castle. I held off stitching the red shirt 'til I got home this morning. That girl has a weird affinity with jellyfish, she's the only one in the entire family stung by a jelly, and no display of hysterics at that, weird (maybe because she grew up with Spongebob, haha). She asked me if she could have this xstitch when finished since her sister already got 3 (ooops, it's actually 4, little niece doesn't know about the birth sampler from long time ago, hah!). Now I got myself in deep trouble (that's what you get when you lie!) must find something jellylike to stitch! Yesterday, she was also reading for her book report and asked if I could stitch her a bookmark... so maybe I can dig up some free small jelly patterns to stitch, smart eh?
Okay, I'll worry about that in the future. Meanwhile, here's my progress:
Thanks for visiting. Happy Stitching!

Lol it does look like a jelly! Good luck on your search :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty design! I guess you could give it to your niece anyway seeing as she is already behind in the stitched goodies! (wink)
ReplyDeleteNice progress on the 'jelly fish' lol:) Kids are just wonderful, aren't they?! How nice that your nieces love your work so much; I wish my three niece and nephews would be so keen on receiving stitched goods from me...! That would make it much easier when it comes to gift-making:)
ReplyDeleteFunny. Won't she be surprised! ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on your stitching !! :) Maybe, you can tell her that you did a mistake and entire designed had to be turned into some other and that you started a new special jellyfish bookmark for her;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful progress. LOL Love how kid's minds work. Good luck finding just the perfect pattern for her.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll find just the right chart for little niece. Nice progress on your latest WIP.
ReplyDeleteKiddo's don't let much get by them! Oretty work!
