Make Do and Mend

Hello dear bloggers.
I'm not going to flood you with museum pictures this time, teehee! (Since I had a very loooong post last time, I'm going to make this really short for your pleasure).
I got a lot of progress to show on Make Do and Mend:
I finished "DO," started the border, then got bored, so "...and" came intothe picture (between DO and Mend, I hope you can see it). I don't know if I will do backstitch on it (which is not required) to make it more visible, but it looks okay to me.
Thanks for visiting. Happy Stitching!

  1. Great progress but I can't see the "and".

  4. Wow, you are advancing very fast on this project. Not very long to go now ...

  5. Great progress. What might look nice on the "and" is some shadow stitching or backstitching, just down the vertical lines to make it stand out more? It may look more obvious in certain lights though rather than in the photo.

  6. I must admit I was looking for the AND.. It looks lovely but I don't think adding backstitch would look right.
    Great progress!!

  7. Great progress on this one! I too struggled to find the 'and' but it might look better IRL:) Are you going to sew the pockets too on this one?

  8. Beautiful progress. I'm sure it shows up better in real life. Stitching just don't show justice on the internet.

  9. I think "...and" would look better if it were backstitched with the darker orange used higher up in the design. Just me, though.
