Got myself a Mirabilia pattern, threads and beads, plus some button embellishments intended for scrapbooking and magazine country charts. I was not expecting the order to arrive this early, now I really must try harder to resist the temptation to start:(
I already planned to stitch her on aida cloth. I have not stitched on Linen before and I'm afraid to ruin this pretty young thing.
I think she's a beauty (Petal Fairy), and if I'm successful with her I might get Bliss Fairy too (fingers crossed;)
Thanks for visiting. Happy Stitching!
Oh petal fairy is beautiful, such lovely colours. she will be a joy to stitch! what a stash haul you got :)) LOL just look at those rainbow of buttons! you will have to hide them away to resist hahaha I know I would.
ReplyDeletehappy stitching! :))
NO matter how big your tax refund is - your new purchase is always worth it, lol. Wonderful, wonderful new design.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your rebate! Can't be bad if it means more stashing.
ReplyDeletePetal Fairy is gorgeous with those bright colours. Why don't you try stitching her on evenweave? It's easier to use than linen as all the threads are evenly spaced and it would really set off this delicate design. I would practice on a scrap first and see how you get on.
What a lovely fairy! I can't wait to see your progress!
ReplyDeleteYay! What great stash. Once you get the hang of stitching on the linen you will enjoy it. :)
ReplyDeleteOh love it! Oh go ahead and start it....(maybe that's why I have a thousand WIPs haha).
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your rebate and stash enhancement! Petal is lovely. If you want to try something other than aida I would recommend an evenweave rather than linen for a first attempt. Actually, I wouldn't use linen for a Mira or Nora design anyway, it's too uneven and the slubs are always in the wrong place! Who wants a lumpy face?
ReplyDeleteGreat news!! Fantastic new stash, that little fairy looks just perfect!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats she's pretty :). I think you should do her on evenweave as well
ReplyDeleteWhat a good way to spend your tax refund! Petal Fairy is very pretty.
