Another Dream project and a block finished

Hello again dear blogging friends. Looks like the stitching bug is here to stay. Yup, I finished another block. As usual, I'll save it for last.
Another batch of Dallas pics, bear with me.
This time it's the George Bush Library and Museum:

One area is dedicated to the game of Baseball, there were lots of autographed memorabilia (btw, pictures are allowed, just no flash photography accdg. to reception desk)
This area is during his administration:
A part of the WTC building
Letters of hope and peace from kids around the world
Replica of the Oval Office during his term. You can wait in line to sit on the desk and have your picture taken by their photographer.
 Gifts from around the world:
Okay, we're done with the lecture, haha.
Now we go over to stitching news...
Four calling birds
This time I took the liberty of changing the snowflakes' color, like polar ice blue (instead of white). Btw, thanks for the tips last time on how to make the color stand out. I will think about that backstitching (you all know how lazy I am with it, haha).
Now you might wonder about my blog title. It's not that "dream" project (big awesome project) you might be assuming. I have found this:
See, it has that "dream" word again (like Ziggy). I already started it, with thoughts of pairing it with Ziggy (or maybe Big niece will just want one, she can have a choice) or in case little niece wants one too, then I'm covered, lol. I'll tell you more about it on my next post.
Thanks for visiting. Happy Stitching!

Not One, Not Two

Hello dear friends. This is how much I missed my stitching... three blocks finished! I really need to get down to business so I can start planning on the Ziggy framing. Yep, I went to Michael's for their frame sales event. I bought 2 simple white frames, a 10x10(for Ziggy) and 10x13 at $5each.
Before we get to 12 Days of Christmas, here's more pics from Dallas(I'm not finished organizing them since some are from Big niece)
Dallas World Aquarium:
-features a South American forest,
can you see the monkey on the tree?

-aquatic exhibits from around the world
(it was a bit dark inside, with lights focused on the aquariums, so it's really difficult to get a decent shot)
At the souvenir shop, there were beaded animals, aren't they cool? I didn't buy one though, because I wouldn't be able to squeeze it in my carry-on bag. I just bought a fish keychain that lights up in different colors and a cute flamingo pen for little niece.
Now we go over to my Christmas stitching, ooooh yes!
Seven swans swimming
Six geese laying
and Five gold rings!
Just like the maids milking, the white color on the two rings are lost with the fabric, but then I've moved on to the 4th day, I'll think about that later...

Reunited (and it feels so good!)

Hello blogging friends. First, thanks for the very nice comments on my last post, totally appreciate them! I'm back from Dallas and couldn't wait to get some stitching done.
Well, before that, let me show a bit of the pics from the BTS (Kpop) concert day:
Big Niece took a picture when we arrived as if still pinching herself if this is indeed happening, lol.
She made sure not to forget to pack her BTS light stick (purchased online). Yep, I thought it was sooo extra (Capitalism, lol), but I'll show later what this is all about.

It was over a 100degrees outside but felt 115 accdg. to the radio...
The doors open at 6pm but niece said that as early as noon lots of fans were already there and major fan clubs were handing out freebies (and here we are thinking we are early at 5pm, haha)
Some even braved the heat and practiced their Kpop moves while waiting (kids! ((((-_-)))).

Finally inside haha.
Okay, MAJOR FANGIRLING ahead...

Showed videos before they came out, girls getting hyped.
So did you notice those balls of light, lol.
And it doesn't end there:(

She got to meet and greet them! Just no pictures with them, security was too tight. Oh well, she's still ecstatic.
Okay over to stitching news (which this blog should be about!). I missed my needle and thread too much, felt so  good to be staring at a chart again, so...
I finished 8 maids milking:
I'm still doubting the color of the bucket, it almost blends in with the fabric. But I've moved on to the 6th and 7th day.

Ziggy Finish

Hello dear friends.
I'm happy to blog that Ziggy is finished. Whew, I'm gonna beat the deadline with enough time to frame it;)

Here's a comparison of the changes I made from the original:

I should be able to focus on stitching 12 Days of Christmas, but before that I'll be off this weekend and shall come back to stitchworld by Wednesday.
Guess where I'll be... it's another supercrazy idea from Big Niece. Would you believe that this is the graduation present she asked for from her parents...
Yup, watch another KPOP concert. It's her third one (a different band each time) and she's still so into it. (Emma Stone was recently at Conan and said she's into KPOP too, hmm...  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycfXhXw0fco so there must be something into it, lol).
So off to Dallas we go tomorrow (early) morning. Hope there's a cross stitch shop nearby where I can spend time, haha.

12 Days of Christmas WIP

Hello dear friends.
I'm finally done with the final block...of the last row, lol.
Here goes again... On the ninth day of Christmas my true love sent to me:
Nine Ladies Dancing
The pink used on the chart was way too light that it can blend in with my fabric, so I went for a shade darker.
I've been slacking on my stitching these days because of flosstubes, I can literally count hours watching people's WIPs and stash! They are so entertaining as well as informative. Now my wishlist keeps getting longer (including tools & storage ideas). It's just different when you see a chart on a site's catalogue against the ones they show you on camera where the colors come alive (Ahhh, need to control myself!)

Ziggy WIP

Hello dear blogger friends.
I did a lot of stitching on my Ziggy:

Again, I changed the color of his PJs. I wanted the colors to pop out, instead of pink I chose red. I also changed the color of the slipper's sole.
I am only missing the white xstitches and then the backstitch. Hopefully it will be a finish the next time you see him (yipee!)

12 Days of Christmas WIP

Hello dear bloggers.
Another block finished, so here goes...
On the tenth day of Christmas my true love sent to me:
Ten Lords a Leaping
Just one more block and the last row will be complete:)
I'm looking forward to moving to the second row (from 5th day to 8th).

Ziggy WIP

Hello friends.
Ziggy's back:
I finished  the clouds. I managed to position them closer together so this pattern now measures 6 x 6, will fit a square instead of a rectangle frame.
I forgot to mention from the start that I am using a 16 count aida (hoooorrraaayyy!!!). This is the smallest count I've stitched. So far I'm liking it (maybe because my pattern is a simple one, haha:)

12 Days of Christmas WIP

Hello dear bloggers.
Come sing with me again. On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love sent to me:
Eleven Pipers Piping:)
I'm currently switching between two WIPs, this and the Ziggy one. I have temporarily put aside Petal Fairy with Summer Fragrance. I just could not focus right now on bigger WIPs. It's been really busy at work lately, but don't get me wrong, I still want to stitch when I come home, just not something that requires my full attention, imagine the frogging when you make a mistake on those (aaahhh!!! Don't want to take that chance);\
These smalls are relaxing and no worries when you commit mistakes:)

Ziggy start

Hi dear friends. Do you remember Ziggy?
He's my new start for this month.
I just realized it's already July and still have not put in a single stitch for big niece' room present (she's moving to her dorm around third week of August).
So panicky me surfaced to pick a simple, easy one to start.
I used a different color for the words.
If you think the clouds and words look closer to each other than what's pictured on the book, you're not mistaken. I'm trying to make this pattern fit in a square rather than a rectangular frame. I still have to calculate the remaining clouds' position, wish me luck:)

12 Days of Christmas WIP

Hello dear friends.
It's Christmas in July on my blog. Here goes...
On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love sent to me:
Twelve drummers drumming! Okay stop there, it's just one block finished... and proud of it, haha.
I changed the color on the letters, went a shade darker (a number lower than the suggested floss).
That's it for now. Moving on to eleventh day;)
